The Billing Specialist, reporting to the Billing Supervisor, will have the primary responsibility for ensuring that charges for services provided are accurately billed to the appropriate insurance companies via electronic and paper claims submissions. This position demonstrates a working knowledge of revenue cycle and reimbursement functions and a basic understanding of coding and billing requirements including ICD10, UB04, HCPCS and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology).

Experience in healthcare is necessary along with knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, procedures within healthcare and understanding how to read, review and interpret an explanation of benefits and denials. Demonstrates actions and attitude that contributes to the critical success factors of the organization (i.e. Best place to work, most extraordinary experience, Superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, and a growing organization vital to the community, and Valued as a faith based organization). The hospital billing specialist maintains a working knowledge of Federal, State, and/or Managed Care requirements and is capable of independently executing responsibilities.
Work Schedule:

Prefer hospital billing experience, especially Medicare
