Qualified candidates will possess:

•\tMinimum of 5 years' experience within a healthcare environment. Can include insurer or public health setting as well.
•\tAt least 5 years' experience in patient registration and/or eligibility and benefits.
•\tAbility to work independently and in a team environment.
•\tMust maintain a high level confidentiality
•\tMust work well in stressful environments without compromising quality and accuracy.
•\tStrong Customer Service skills
•\tAbility to participate in an environment that promotes staff development, productivity, satisfaction and efficiency
•\tPC skills in a Windows environment are required. Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel is helpful.
•\tAbility to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently.
•\tStrong written and verbal communication skills.

Duties:

•\tCompletes follow-up in accordance to department policy.
•\tEscalate appropriate issues to management
•\tVerify accuracy of all insurance information
•\tConducts patient account assessments
•\tVerify insurance eligibility for all patients
•\tAttempt to ensure patient liabilities are paid in full at time of service.
•\tCommunication clearly to patient or patient designee, insurance coverages/benefits, patient financial obligations, and impact of unpaid services
•\tCoordinates bed placement according to hospital guidelines and/or given staffing guidelines.
•\tOther duties as assigned

Work Schedule:


Full-time evening 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday with alternating weekends.
