Professional experience includes experience in work within this field, and/or complex legal work, conducting extensive research, analysis, evaluation and/or litigation in a legal specialization relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Providing advice on areas of law (general, fiscal, ethics, litigation, personnel, civil and administrative, government contracts, and claims, international); and Experience in litigation, including trials or administrative hearings, preparing substantive trial documents; preparing legal memoranda, reflecting research; and preparing legal opinions. Provides oversight of or independent handling of general law matters and/or a lead on complex litigation in a legal specialization relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Works independently and provides sound judgment in handling, and/or leading complex litigation, general law, personnel law, civil and administrative law, government contracts, international law, claims, fiscal matters, and ethics.
EDUCATION/BAR MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED: Applicants for attorney positions must possess a professional law degree (LL.B or J.D) from an ABA-accredited school and have admission to the Bar.
Bar Membership: An applicant must be a member in good standing (as defined by the pertinent Bar) of a State, Territory of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and be admitted to practice before a state or federal court.
This position is a Term appointment NOT TO EXCEED 2 YEARS, but may be extended beyond the initial appointment date.
