  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilize a fundamental knowledge of security policy and directives pertaining to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and overall personnel security requirements; 2) Send and receive clearances; obtains clearance eligibility authorizations; prepare indoctrination and debrief paperwork; maintain personnel security records and databases; 3) Advise and assist customers with security related questions; processes Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) paperwork via E-QIP; performs quality assurance and continuous evaluation reviews on security paperwork prior to submission to investigating agencies; 4) Conduct pre-screening nomination interviews for access to classified information programs and provides recommendations on clearance suitability.

    Must obtain Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program certification at the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) level within 24 months of selection.

    This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

    This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
