Children's Services Specialist- Foster Care
This position provides case oversight and consultation, monitoring and program oversight, capacity development and training, and consultation on programmatic and systemic trends and issues for USCCB's UAC residential services network, the federal government and other stakeholders. This position also assists USCCB's URM programs by providing consultation on case and programmatic matters, including capacity development and training. Contributes to the Bishops' strategic plan for the Conference. Demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to the USCCB mission and to fulfill job duties in accordance with its Catholic identity.
Qualifications: Master's Degree required. Experience in Social Work, Child Welfare, Case Management, Mental Health, Juvenile Justice or related field. Knowledge of child welfare principles/standards, practices and systems (i.e. foster care, child protective services, basic child placing agency licensing and placement procedures). Excellent written and verbal language skills are required. Experience with federal grants and cooperative agreements.
