Specialized experience: Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience includes experience performing IT Infrastructure activities to ensure the availability, integrity and operational support of systems, networks, and/or data.
Examples of such experience could include the following:
Managing the support activities of server operating systems, storage systems, database administration, network devices or application platform services, including performance monitoring and analysis; OR
Executing network, server, storage or database administration support in both unclassified and classified environments; OR
Performing operations tasks and supporting critical infrastructures with Communications Security (COMSEC) certification or training; OR
Conducting technical discussions across a variety of IT disciplines to coordinate and align task and work activities; OR
Developing and executing work or project plans related to network, server, storage or database systems.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency

- Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

- Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
