The Cultural Diversity Liaison will provide Spanish Interpreting for rehabilitation patients to be able to communicate with healthcare providers. Candidate should have strong interpretation skills, social skills, basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. The candidate will be responsible for helping to identify limited English proficient (LEP) patients, schedule and ensure proper interpretation is provided for the patients.
Round on hospital units when possible to identify/check on limited English proficient (LEP) patients
Respond to Spanish interpreter requests when available
Schedule in-person interpreters
Be familiar with Federal, State, and Joint Commission Regulations, Standards and Mandates. Including DHHS Office of Minority Health's Enhanced Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services Standards.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and Joint Commission Regulations, Standards and Mandates preferred.
This is a Part Time hourly position.
