a)\tRound on hospital units when possible to identify/check on limited English proficient (LEP) patients
b)\tRespond to Spanish interpreter requests when available
c)\tOnly translate ‘unofficial' documents (e.g., directions, 1-3 phrases, phone lists…etc. - use discretion)

2)\tSchedule in-person interpreters
a)\tSend fax to agency and ‘cc' Nursing Admin, call agency to verify receipt
b)\tKeep copies of each request on file
c)\tEnsure request is appropriate (e.g., # hours requested, accurate start time, day vs. night)

3)\tArrange Document Translations (with UNO Translations)
a)\tDouble-check that any request for translation has not already been done (check with Center for Health Equity and Wellness for all AHC translated docs)

4)\tInterpreter Equipment
a)\tManage list of all CyraCom phones and VRI devices. all rehab locations
b)\tRespond to trouble-shooting requests (contact appropriate vendors when needed)
6)\tBe familiar with Federal, State, and Joint Commission Regulations, Standards and Mandates
i)\tTitle VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
ii)\tSection 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
iii)\tTitle III of the Americans with Disabilities Act
iv)\tU.S. DHHS Office of Minority Health's Enhanced Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services Standards (CLAS Standards)
Work Schedule:

part time hourly position.

besides the above job description, the CDL part time position will cover when CDL supervisor is on vacation.
