Windows System Administrator

Key Role:

Serve as a senior Windows administrator or engineer to build and sustain a growing windows desktop and server environment. Maintain responsibility for managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Microsoft Server 2012/2016 and Windows 7/10. Interact with third-party technology vendors and internal staff. Conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Develop new builds, install new software, troubleshoot, grant permissions to applications, and train users. Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Accomplish work without considerable direction and interact with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with engineering and administration in virtualized environments

-Knowledge of US government enterprise infrastructure, US government security standards, and IT service management principles

-Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Top Secret clearance

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Amazon Web Services and U.S Government Commercial Cloud Services (C2S)

-Experience with Java Web applications and Oracle databases

-Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies

-Ability to use judgment within broadly defined policies and practices

-Ability to maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems

-Ability to serve as a front line interface to users with technical issues

-Ability to offer recommendations for hardware and software purchases

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

-Ability to obtain IAT Level II Certification

-Ability to obtain AWS System Operations Certification
