Business Development Specialist

Prestigious DC law firm is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support managers and staff in firm-wide marketing and strategic initiatives.  Duties will include: research on prospects and clients, monitor industry business intelligence, support BD managers in preparing, documenting, and following up on responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including final document preparation, tracking pitch and proposal activity, and maintaining a library of pitch materials, assist with identifying and managing market-facing opportunities, such as networking events, targeted sponsorships, and client seminars, including prospect research, collateral production, planning logistics, on-site support and follow-up activities, and draft, edit, and finalize submissions for rankings and awards, such as Chambers USA and Legal 500 US. 

A college degree is required and the candidate should a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a law firm or professional services environment.  Candidates should be detail oriented with excellent written and oral communications skills.  Candidate should be proficient with MS Office and have familiarity with online marketing tools (such as ContactNet, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey) and research resources (MonitorSuite, Pitchbook, Hoovers, Manzama).  Candidate should be a self-starter, well organized, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Hours are 9:00 – 5:30 and some OT may be required.
