For more information, visit www.vistronix.com. ASRC Federal - Vistronix is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for a role on one of our subcontracts. This full time position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an engaging, high-tech development environment, working with an excellent team and customer base. Responsibilities The selected candidate must be an expert on customer programs, tools, processes, and procedures. They should have recent, first-hand experience designing, integrating, and sustaining customer systems. They must have recent, first-hand experience supporting customer architecture and component development efforts. The selected candidate will provide design, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment support to customer systems. Primary responsibilities include: Development of system designs (physical, network layout, software applications) and maintenance of system design documentation packages Performance of system and component testing during integration of new systems and upgrades. Lifecycle support to include logistics services, document review, development of installation and deployment plans, and other tasks required to deploy and sustain operational systems. Periodic (infrequent) travel to OCONUS areas. Qualifications The candidate must meet the following labor category qualifications: A minimum of 3 years systems engineering experience with SIGINT systems. A BS degree in engineering, telecommunications, or related technical field may be substituted for experience in one specialization. Within the last 5 years, a minimum of 3 years experience in three (3) of the specializations listed, one of which shall be specialization VIII- Systems Engineering. Signal Analysis Modern Tele-communications System and Networks Telephony Switching System Communications Systems Cellular/Personal Communications Systems TDM/PCM Multiplexing / Modulation /Switching Systems Packet Switching System Systems Engineering Operating Systems Advanced Protocols Within the last 5 years, a minimum of 3 years development and integration experience in SIGINT systems. Within the last 3 years, a minimum of 2 years experience in at least two (2) of the Engineering Subsystem Specializations listed: Switching and Survey Circuit Processing Packet Processing Within the last 3 years, a minimum of 2 years experience with the functionality and inter-processing of packet- and circuit-based HW & SW solutions. A minimum of 3 years experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems. This experience should also include definition of requirements and allocation of functions, conduction of systems requirements reviews, development of Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and interfacing standards, definition of architecture, technical/non-technical assessments, and end-to-end flow analysis. A minimum of 3 years experience solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule. Job Specific Qualifications: Bachelors of Science degree in a technical field. Demonstrated understanding and experience with SIGINT system integration Knowledge of modern telecommunications networks, protocols, and technologies. Experience using LINUX-based data processing applications, and an understanding of the LINUX environment (limited scripting, command line arguments, etc.). Experience with COTS and GOTS processing tools used by the customer as outlined in the labor category qual sheet is also required. Job Specific Desired: Candidate is preferred to have experience with NiFi. This position requires an active Security Clearance. Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph.
