Security Operations Engineer
Overview We are seeking a Security Operations Engineer for our Herndon, VA location to support or corporate efforts. Responsibilities Analyze/monitor/maintain customer and internal Security systems Act as a technical point of contact for escalations and troubleshooting of security and privacy issues Help to enforce change management procedures and other security policies and procedures Participate in security audits, risk analysis, and security reviews Assist in the collection, storage, and security of artifacts and evidence to support audits and assessments Proactively identify security issues and risks and develop remediation and mitigation plans Manage vulnerability scans and penetration tests for systems, as well as assist customers with their testing activities Work with a diverse team of engineers to work through complex issues and tasks in a fast-paced environment Be responsible for patching environments Qualifications REQUIRED: Bachelor in Computer Science or similar field of study 3+ yrs in Security operations work CISSP Knowledge of a verity of security tools suite such as ServiceNow, Nessus, and SIEM tools Background in Windows and Linux sys admin Knowledge of NIST RMF About Peraton Peraton provides innovative, reliable solutions to the nation's most sensitive and mission-critical programs and systems.
