Overview Peraton is currentlyseeking to hire a Lead Systems Engineer to support customer network and system engineering functions in Fairfax, VA. Responsibilities This position is responsible for maintaining, modifying, and enhancing customer network capabilities and services as well as maintaining existing network standards, equipment, and designs. Candidate will identify, engineer and propose beneficial upgrades, modifications, and technology insertions. Candidate will work with the operations team, vendors and other engineers to assess and understand technologies and develop proposed beneficial technical solutions for our customer's environment. This is a key position on the contract. Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Technical Discipline 12+ yrs experience with Information Systems and Systems Engineering Experience leading successful team Experience with IOS upgrades Experience with CISCO and Nexus switches Experience provisioning VMs and configuring VM servers Working knowledge of Windows & Linux Strong working knowledge of virtualization--VMware and application virtualization Working knowledge of Citrix, storage principles and good understanding of Cloud ITIL Foundations Certification Top Secret Clearance required AWS Certifications Experience with CommVault and/or other backup tools Strong communication skills Excellent teamwork Top Secret with Polygraph SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the candidate to have a current Top Secret clearance with a polygraph and the ability to maintain the clearance.
