District Leader (Metro)
Job Summary We are seeking a District Leader for our Hair Cuttery brand. This person will select, lead, and develop Salon Leadership personnel and Salon Associates to ensure excellent customer service and achieve sales and profit goals. The role will provide leadership, coaching and operational direction to salon leaders and associates across multiple sites in the metro area. Qualified candidates must thrive in a fast paced environment, have a strong sense of urgency, dynamic interpersonal skills, and demonstrated motivational leadership ability. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: I. Creates and Retains a Team of Qualified Associates and Leaders * Recruits and hires qualified Stylists, Assistant Leaders, and Salon Leaders * Ensures Stylist Orientation, WOW Service: The Hair Cuttery Way delivered to all new Associates * Ensures all new Leaders complete Salon Leader Orientation, WOW Service: The Hair Cuttery Way, prior to assuming a Leadership role * Develops bench strength within district to fill Salon Leader and Assistant Salon Leader vacancies * Interviews and approves all promotions into ASL position * Coaches SLs to effectively recruit and interview * Ensures Salon Leadership attends and adequately learns all training * Builds strong relationships with beauty schools and local competitors II. Coaches to Improve Performance of Each Associate * Ensures Stylists have quality technical skills to service every client who walks in the door * Addresses all performance issues following Fair Treatment Policy * Ensures each Associate receives a monthly coaching session * Creates personal development plans for all Salon Leaders (SLs), including feedback from Leadership surveys * Ensures every SL shares client WOW results with their salon teams and creates a plan on ways to improve * Completes and delivers mid-year/year-end performance evaluations to SLs/ASLs III. Grows Client Counts, Service Sales, and Retail Sales in Every Salon * Uses snapshot on every salon visit * Sets quarterly financial goals, follows-up and holds Leaders accountable * Conducts regular leadership meetings to support corporate goals, strategies creating a WIN-WIN-WIN * Ensures that salons are adequately staffed to meet client/business needs * Ensures all salons are using the Labor Scheduler effectively * Ensures all salons consistently achieve full Hair Cuttery operating hours * Ensures salons deliver Wow Service, The Hair Cuttery Way, to all clients * Adheres to the client complaint procedures and meets all specified deadlines * Delivers Treating clients Fairly annual training to every salon during the designated time frame * Plans and implements activities to achieve projected service and retail sales plans * Ensures all company service and retail promotions are properly executed in each salon * Ensures every salon has proper merchandising presentation * Facilitates the entire process for Grand Openings of all assigned salons (ie, staffing, promoting) * Supports community involvement in local events (PR work) * Evaluates and recommends potential real estate sites and lease renewals IV.
