Ref ID: 04510-9501483720Classification: Accountant - Sr.Compensation: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per yearRobert Half Accounting and Finance team is looking for an ambitious and motivated Senior Accountant for a prominent non-profit in Maryland. This Senior Accountant role will potentially grow into a Controller role and therefore candidates must possess solid communication, organizational and analytical skills. Senior Accountants should have 3-5yrs of experience with working knowledge of GAAP, grants funding experience and analytical work. As the Senior Accountant, you are responsible for all the day to day and month end accounting duties, account analysis, reporting and maintaining the general ledger. This non-profit has a highly competitive benefits package and looking for a candidate to take an interest in their mission and want to make a difference. ? Execute monthly accounting close procedures ? Compile and prepare journal entries for various accounts ? Reconcile the general ledger ? Prepare monthly bank reconciliations ? Prepare financial reports for analysis for month/quarter/year end close ? Collaborate with the CFO and business partners to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting progress ? Assess with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses ? Prepare for audits ? Supervise some of the accounting department with aspirations to grow into the Controller? BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or higher ? 3-5 years of experience ? Grant funding experience ? MEC experience ? CPA is preferred ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills ? Ability to meet deadlines ? High attention to detail ? Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups, formulas, etc) and other ERP systems ?
