Apex Systems has an opening for an IT Security Engineer to audit, administer and maintain security for enterprise operating systems safeguarding against the loss or destruction of corporate data, or confidential information being compromised purposely or inadvertently. The position is also responsible for server security, real-time intrusion detection monitoring, web security posture & assessment, and infrastructure security. Responsibilities of the IT Security Engineer will include: Performs research on security technologies and tools, designs and implements security architecture Conducts detection, monitoring, analysis, resolution of security incidents & participates in providing containment recommendations Responsible to maintain data loss prevention capabilities through administration, policy, and business unit collaboration Identify IT security compliance control gaps, oversee the documentation and implementation of IT controls to mitigate any found process gaps Implements and upgrades products; Perform scheduled vulnerability management and penetration testing Develops, implements security policies, strategies, standards, guidelines and procedures, and confirms that they are adequately communicated to the appropriate parties Provides enterprise risk assessment mechanisms and reporting Ensure Company is compliant with regulatory requirements and security best practices. Effectively communicates company-wide governance of the Information Security program Required experience of the IT Security Engineer: 5-7 years IT security related experience Must have one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security + Must have multiple computer platform security experience with Windows, Linux and, Unix environments Demonstrated understanding of data network configuration and infrastructure concepts, including TCP/IP routers, internet/intranet/extranet, firewalls, web servers and security hierarchy including the administration of private key infrastructures (PKI) and authentication processes, network intrusion detection systems and data loss prevention systems, etc Demonstrated experience in conducting security assessments Demonstrated experience in investigating security issues related to Internet, server, desktop, laptop, tablet and other mobile device security issues; OS patching, hardening, HIPs and anti-virus Experienced involvement with development team(s) that delivered commercial software or software-based services (development, QA testing, or security role) Active Directory experience, including Powershell If interested, please send your resume to Brandon Nelson, at [Click Here to Email Your Resume] EEO Employer Apex Systems LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
