Position Description This is a hands-on position with the following responsibilities: Work closely with VP of Construction and Director of Construction, along with on-site service personnel regarding issues affecting their properties. Research and develop scope and specs, bid process and construction management. Estimate cost of projects such as: Apartment renovations and upgrades. Washer/dryer retrofits. Mechanical repairs and upgrades. Building envelope interior and exterior improvements. Responsibility for pre-construction process and on-going oversight of projects from start to finish, including progress meetings and inspections. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors/vendors. Work in close partnership with on-site staff at apartment communities. This position requires significant local travel throughout CRC s portfolio and some regional travel (East coast, going South). Requirements 2-4 years of construction management experience. Construction Project Management degree and/or professional certificate preferred. Civil Engineering degree, or Structural Engineering degree also considered. Experience with cost estimating and multifamily apartment unit renovations. Experience with job cost programs. Strong management, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
