Folio maintains a high availability environment which supports a complex proprietary stock trading system. The environment is a hybrid environment. The Systems Administrator has responsibilities from strategic to tactical in nature. The administrator would be deeply involved in designing and planning as well as implementation and ongoing operational support. The environment is a hybrid environment and will require supporting the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment and the back end UNIX/Windows environment in both standalone and Hybrid environments. Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS. Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS. Capabilities to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project. Experience with application / data migration to AWS. Experience scaling an application and/or its hosting environment to support increases in traffic. Maintain and create new, as needed, cloud compute instances, storage, and other cloud services required to support Development projects Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems Create and maintain scripts designed to automate administrative tasks. Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation. Bachelors Degree in IT/IS, Computer Science or related discipline (Can be offset by experience and demonstrated knowledge.) 5-7 years experience as a system administrator. 2+ years of cloud-based Operations in the AWS environment. Understanding of concepts such as distributed systems, hybrid networks, alerting, monitoring, logging, and incident management. Understanding of Linux from an administrative perspective: core fundamentals, command-line operations, scripting, service monitoring. Demonstrated proficiency and experience working with AWS and some of the following: Linux, Microsoft Windows, databases, web services, internet protocols, Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) systems. Exceptional computer skills and proficiency on PC platforms. Understanding of the fundamentals and procedures related to SSAE16, SOC, ITIL standards. Experience with the following AWS features: EC2, ECS,ELB, EFS, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, WAF. Expert knowledge of chef, puppet or other Infrastructure Automation frameworks. Desired Qualifications: Experience with Git Experience with Docker and/or Ansible Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Associate SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Associate DevOps Administrator. or AWS Certified Associate Solutions Architect.
