Counter Sales Associate

Position Summary: We re looking for the newestCounter Sales Rep to join our team! This person will assist customerswith product selection, offer alternative products for specific applications,and manage the order process for each customer. In addition, they willstock shelves, merchandise materials to maximize our potential sales revenueand collaborate with outside sales in an effort to deliver exceptional serviceto our customers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helpingour customers and be a pro at multi-tasking! High-levelperformers in this role will frequently find opportunities for advancementthroughout our company . PositionResponsibilities: Verifies shipment of goods received from branch transfers andpacking slips. Organizes and stocks warehouse shelves with incomingmaterials and supplies. Maintains clean, orderly, and safe stock area. Assists in the Cycle Counting efforts at the branch Greets customers at the sales counter or through incoming telephonecalls, providing accurate, helpful, detailed information to their questions orproblems. Quotes jobs and bids on material with pricing, recommends,and sells appropriate products to the customer. Gathers material requested by the customer from the shelves,ensuring they are correct for customer application and order. Assists with pulling materials for transfers to otherbranches, phone orders, and orders to be delivered when needed orrequested. Assists with counter maintenance, helping to keep area clean,orderly, and safe. Solves customer problems tactfully and promptly. Keeps abreast of all new product information and upcomingproduct promotions through vendor- and company-sponsored Lunch and Learns, uponavailability. Works closely with all internal departments, combiningindividual efforts to better serve the customer. Performs other duties as obvious or assigned. Qualifications: Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. Abilityto effectively handle multiple tasks and collaborate within a multi-functionalteam. Detailoriented, organized, consistent and tenacious. Ateam player work together with others to accomplish common goals of company. Organizedwith strong time management skills. Self-motivatedand self-starter. MinimumHigh School Diploma.
