    Minimum Education Requirement:

    Basic Requirements:
    1. Degree: that included 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, of which at least 12 semester hours were in mathematics and 6 semester hours were in statistics.

      OR

    2. Combination of education and experience -- at least 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, including at least 12 hours in mathematics and 6 hours in statistics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.


    AND

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Identifying survey data collection techniques.  Planning, designing, and managing projects.  Planning and developing specifications and survey design methodology, and providing technical direction over an Adaptive Design architecture Managing and participating in intra-agency workgroups.  Developing and designing models for collecting qualified data.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

    • Knowledge of emerging statistical methodologies used to develop and design models for collecting quantified data.
    • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement to models used to evaluate the accuracy and quality of quantified data.
