Technology Transfer Manager (Life Sciences)
Brief Summary of Job Duties
Managing a portfolio of the University's intellectual property in Life Sciences and related information science disciplines; identifying new university innovations and encouraging the disclosure of new ideas; evaluating new interventions for technical merit, patentability, and commercial feasibility; overseeing the filing of patent applications; marketing technologies to existing business and working with entrepreneurs where new business opportunities are presented; drafting licensing terms for technology agreements and performing other duties as assigned.
Requested Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences from an accredited University or College with at least two (2) years of technology transfer experience.
Other Preferences for Consideration
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Life sciences from an accredited university with at least one (1) year of technology transfer experience; have excellent customer service, oral, written, interpersonal, time management, troubleshooting and problem solving skills; experience in evaluating new inventions, potential start-up businesses and market assessments.
