  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field H (Production, Quality and Manufacturing), Level I or II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • These positions require Security Clearance depending on the position that you are being selected for you may be required to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret Security Clearance, or Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) or NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing work involved in planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products required by Federal agencies.

    Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position.


    Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-05: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position OR a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

    Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-07: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: 1 full year of graduate level education which includes major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement that includes major study in quality assurance or related field OR a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

    Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-09: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: master's or equivalent graduate degree which includes or is supplemented by major study major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which includes major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or LL.B. or J.D., if directly related to the position OR a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

    Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-11: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree which includes or is supplemented by major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which includes major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical science, textiles, or other fields related to the position or LL.M., if directly related to the position OR a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

    This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

    General Schedule Basic Pay Range are as follows:

    GS-7 Basic Pay Range: $35,854 - $46,609
    GS-9 Basic Pay Range: $43,857 - 57,015
