Primary Purpose

The Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors and clients and directing visitors appropriately. The Receptionist notifies company personnel of visitor arrival and maintains the telecommunications system with a focus on providing high quality internal and external customer service.


  • Receives, directs, and notifies company personnel of telephone calls using the corporate telephone system

  • Checks messages and forwards messages to internal staff as applicable

  • Maintains guest sign-in log, and maintain and update the corporate calendar

  • Greets clients and vendors and notifies staff of visitor arrivals as applicable and per company guidelines

  • Coordinates delivery of Fed Ex, UPS, and courier packages and notifies employees of package for pick up; and processes monthly payments to delivery vendors

  • Maintains internet employee contact page

  • Maintains the corporate holiday card list; prints card labels; prepares the cards for mailing

  • Supports corporate project functions as needed

  • Issues loaner computers and audiovisual equipment; issues temporary and daily security access cards

  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Two years of receptionist experience desired within a professional services corporate office environment preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with internal and external clients and colleagues

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to multi-task

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to reach, grasp, turn, manipulate, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 15 pounds
