Specialized experience for this position is defined as: performing supervisory, administrative and personnel functions relative to with independently planning, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring an implementing an effective blend of leadership, innovation, technical, and analytical competencies related to intelligence-informed cyber pursuit strategies and tradecraft designed to identify, assess, and disrupt advanced persistent cyber threats to Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) networks, including Industrial Control Systems (ICS).

    Experience with managing, advising and/or training employees on work assignments and administrative matters as well as being able to nurture, motivate, encourage, recognize and appraise a diverse staff of an organization on collaborating with internal and external customers.

    Experience with having knowledge of the mission, structure, policies, and key intelligence programs of the Intelligence Community as they affect various government agencies and U.S. Energy Sector equities to include all aspects of the intelligence process (i.e. collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, production and dissemination), and, the major organizational, structural and mission aspects of the Intelligence Community and its various agencies.

    Experience with having a mastery knowledge of the full range of national security, familiarity with departmental policies, authorities, regulations, and procedures that apply to Cyber mission, such as, the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended; the Nuclear Nonproliferation Act of 1978; Executive Order 12333; Presidential Policy Directives; applicable agency Orders; and specific procedures and guidelines that govern intelligence-related activities.

    Experience with the ability to evaluate technical cyber data and available classified reporting to identify potentially nefarious cyber anomalies and behavioral trends by cyber threat actors that target IT and OT networks, including ICS.

    Experience with possessing advanced oral and interpersonal communication abilities in order to deliver briefings to audiences from all levels of the Department, the Intelligence Community, the U.S. Energy Sector, and the U.S. Congress. Also must demonstrate proficiency in translating complex technical and cyber-related terminology to convey to meaningful briefings in support of senior policymakers and stakeholders.

    "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Current Federal employees must meet one (1) year of specialize experience requirement by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
