    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

    Basic Requirement: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
    1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

    3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

    Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and/or scope; assisting in developing or updating project plans (including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, staffing, etc.) for information technology (IT) projects; conferring with project personnel to identify and/or resolve problems; assisting in developing and/or managing work break down structure of IT projects; maintaining IT systems as pertaining to Risk Management Framework/National Institute of Standards and Technology (RMF/NIST) procedures. Although not required, experience with Telemedicine/Telehealth and Distance Learning applications is preferred. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12).

    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

    • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, within 6 months of entry onto duty.
