to join our Pharmacy Care Services team in Norfolk, VA.
This is an office-based position with department hours of operations from 8am-6pm. We require our Clinical Pharmacist to work Monday- Friday 8am-5pm. There is an additional weekend commitment rotation with an average of every 6th weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and an on-call commitment of about every 7th week.
While in the role of a Clinical Pharmacist, the ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience with online pharmacy adjudication systemsFundamental understanding of prior authorizationsExceptional verbal and communication skillsSuperior analytical, research and presentation skillsHigh level of competency in determining medical necessityPrevious managed care and/or retail experience (strongly preferred)Doctorate of Pharmacy is strongly preferred
