Job Description: Professional individual who is experienced in high dollar contract negotiations. Independently run effective business meetings. Be able to independently reach out to vendors and customers to provide a high level of service and creative win-win negotiating scenarios to benefit all parties. This person will need to analyze proposals effectively and provide summaries and recommendations to decision makers. Needs to have knowledge of contractual legal terms and contract construction. Able to independently start and finish the bid and contracting process with Vendor¿s representatives. Able to negotiate terms, and use appropriate alternate contract language to meet Sentara requirements. Organizational skills and ability to follow process through to completion with appropriate documentation. Individual must possess and demonstrate strong customer service and critical thinking/problem solving skills. Education Level

Sentara Healthcare has an immediate opening for a well qualified Contract Specialist. This is a full time day shift position located at our Materials Management department in Chesapeake, Virginia. Only well qualified applicants with significant contract negotiation background will be considered. Healthcare experience is a plus.
