Job Description: Oversee all aspects of smaller sized projects design, test, implementation Under general supervision responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance tasks and day-to-day support of server operating systems, and hardware, server builds and escalation point to the Senior Solution Arch. Maintain solid working knowledge of software, computers, networking, and internet functionality in relation to products/customers supported. Working knowledge in PowerShell, VB Scripting and Layer 1-5 of the OSI Model. Maintain solid working knowledge of software, server and storage hardware, and networking in relation to products customers supported. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with backup technologies and operating system concepts utilizing networking, virtualization, clustering, high availability and security. Responsible for the design, testing and implementation of software applications. Support internal and external audits. Assist in the execution of Disaster Recovery test plans with various operational and support groups in IT. Effectively sets customer expectations at the management and staff level. Provide daily and on call support to the customer base for server related issues. Responsible for implementing customer support processes for problem identification, prioritization and resolution.

Four years experience accepted in lieu of BS degree. Two years job experience required with BS Degree. Will work with hardware and software. Must be able to lift and install hardware. Weekend and after-hours work is required on an as needed basis. Analyzes customer needs, evaluates operating system software releases and/or new hardware products and gives recommendations to improve processes and decrease operating expenses. Acts as a liaison and provides oral and written communication between the customer base and other areas within the Information Technology departments. Responsible for the communication of server operating system and hardware issues, requirements and enhancements. Notifies customer base of scheduled and unscheduled network or server down times.
