Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of test designated positions will be subject to random testing. Drug test results will be provided to the employing activity/command.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Serve as the recognized authority for formulating and guiding cost analysis, acquisition support, earned value management for a wide variety of programs at various stages of the acquisition life cycle process; conceive, initiate, monitor and/or conduct major products and studies of critical importance to decision makers; Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with the customers; Develop or promote a comprehensive understanding of the cost analysis discipline with the customer and other members of the Program Office Team; Develop and present convincing oral/written presentations to all levels of government and industry management officials.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

The Basic Education Requirements are as follows:

Degree: in operations research; OR A degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
