•\tCurrent BLS certification
•\tCurrent ACLS and PALS instructor certification
•\tCurrent healthcare provider licensure
•\tProficient computer skills: Windows environment, Outlook, internet
•\tAdvanced knowledge and experience with use of MS Word; Excel; PowerPoint, LMS
•\tExcellent organizational and time management skills

Education and Experience:
•\tBS in healthcare field, RN preferred
•\tAt least five years' experience in clinical specialty area
•\tAt least 2 years' experience as instructor in healthcare or life support
Work Schedule:


Principle duties and responsibilities will include:


  • Develops curricula and agendas for AHA courses taught at AHC
  • Utilizes adult learning theory to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Adheres to and stays abreast of organizational policies and procedures; is a resource to others in department and organization
  • Identifies professional practice gaps and learning needs
  • Facilitates robust certification program in LMS to track employee certifications
  • Adheres to professional guidelines for practice asuch as American Heart Association, ANCC, ANA and follows best practice guidelines
  • Facilitates AHA courses taught; ACLS, PALS, and BLS as needed
  • Collaborates with education and quality professionals at all AHC entities to develop continuous quality improvement in regards to CPR and mock codes
  • Maintains interdepartmental and inter-professional collaboration to enhance auditing activities in regards to CPR and mock codes
  • Evaluates outcomes related to CPR needs at AHC entities
  • Role models positive customer service behaviors
  • Conducts systematic inventory management and maintains par levels and optimal use of all equipment and supplies
  • Resolves conflicts effectively, prioritizes tasks and manages deadlines in spite of multiple demands.

Work Schedule will include:


  • Scheduled classes Sunday - Friday, per Life Support Administration.
