Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Histotechnologist II who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Histotechnologist II performs histology laboratory testing, other lab functions and duties for inpatients and outpatients according to Laboratory policy and procedures. Perform quality control and maintenance procedures in accordance with policy and participate in Laboratory Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Initiatives.

The Histotechnologist II performs and documents all aspects of routine histology procedures in an efficient and superior manner, that may include:

•\tMicrotomy
•\tEmbedding
•\tSpecial stains
•\tRoutine staining
•\tQuality control
•\tPerforms periodic maintenance and troubleshoots instruments as needed
•\tGross prosecting of small specimens including non gyn preparation
•\tImmunohistochemistry
•\tRecycling solvents and formalin
•\tSign out and distribution of slides
•\tOther duties as assigned
