Chief Technologist

Key Role:

Identify, develop, and lead client projects in the commercial market, particularly the financial services, oil and gas, and automotive sectors. Design technology and analytics strategies and implement solutions for commercial clients across multiple business units. Drive long-term client relationships and client engagements beyond a single engagement and lead and participate in client engagements with the strategic analysis, planning, and execution of technology and analytics-enabled business solutions. Interface directly with senior commercial clients in the execution of duties, as necessary. Partner with internal functional and technical managers to leverage consulting and analytical expertise, including the ability to gather, synthesize, and analyze analytical trends and best practices and apply them to client environments. Leverage experience with a broad range of technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Docker, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible, REST services, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and software engineering practices, such as Agile or Scrum, software testing, user acceptance testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment. Apply knowledge of emerging technology, analytics, use cases, and industry trends and leverage knowledge to continuously evolve capability offerings.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with designing and developing full-stack technical applications, including data ingest, storage, search and retrieval, analytics, and user interface

-10+ years of experience with developing software following a formal development methodology, including Waterfall, Spiral, and Agile, incorporating configuration management, testing, deployment, and monitoring

-5+ years of experience with developing Big Data solutions using technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Hbase, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Storm

-5+ years of experience with technology and analytics delivery in a consulting or internal role, including defining strategy, establishing client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions

-Experience with developing and mentoring staff at all levels and building an internal capacity to deliver high quality and highly innovative analytics services

-Experience with designating and implementing analytics to mine Cyber risk, vulnerabilities, and IOC data, and implementing big data concepts in context of Cyber challenges

-Experience with developing and implementing a successful market strategy and business development and leading proposal, project, and IC creation

-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or IT or 10+ years of experience with progressively complex software design engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with a wide range of technologies and applications for diverse user purposes preferred

-Experience with conducting assessments to inform technology or analytics service offering business development initiatives at consulting or other professional services firms

-Knowledge of analytics and data technology landscape, emerging trends, and corporate policies and guidelines around Cloud computing, commercial, and open source tools

-Ability to define and deliver a channel-specific or cross-channel technology and analytics strategy and implementation roadmap

-Ability to lead integrated teams of 3-10 people in 90-120 day projects to deliver fully functioning capabilities to the client group, business unit, or enterprise-level

-Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
