Position Overview

Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity in the Securities Operations Research Analytics and Development (SORAD) change management team. The Operations Change Management Senior will be responsible for software development activities in partnership with Securities Issuance & Administration business areas. The Change Management Senior is often referred to as internal consultants, and will act as a Sr Developer and subject matter expert, typically working on multi-disciplinary projects that require a broad knowledge of the firm and its key functions.

Responsibilities Include
◦ Develop and enhance reporting and analytical software systems
◦ Provide data/root cause analysis and issue resolution, as needed, to resolve system problems
◦ Support gathering and documenting business/requirements for broad range of mortgage backed security initiatives
◦ Support testing of systems and processes changes
◦ Collaborate directly with business and technical partners to support the needs of a dynamic, fast paced business environment

Basic Requirements
* Proven experience in software development
* SAS and/or Dataflux proficiency or equivalent development experience
* Proficiency with SQL or other query tools (MSQuery, Access, Rapid SQL, etc)
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
* Ability and desire to work in a team environment
* Knowledge of GSE business model and the MBS Securitization processes
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
* Ability to work independently and effectively with staff at all levels and from multiple divisions
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Proven ability to learn new business concepts supporting product and/or business process development
* Candidate must be self-motivated, proactive, and have excellent organization and planning skills

Preferred Skills
* Knowledge/understanding of both Single-Class and Multi-Class securities
* Knowledge of Security Issuance and Administration concepts and interdependencies of mortgage transaction data
* Understanding of mortgage data related to sourcing, performing/non-performing loan servicing and delinquency reporting
* Knowledge of security disclosure at the loan, pool and/or deal level
* Knowledge of security structuring/modeling
* Ability to serve as a link between the business unit, the technical support team, data owners, data consumers and risk /control groups
