Job Description: Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Education Level

Sentara Norfolk General is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for its Oncology Unit.

Hours/Shift: 7am -7pm to include alternate weekends

Department/Position Overview: This unit cares for patients with cancer in an inpatient, 18 bed Medical Surgical Unit that is expanding to a 36 bed Intermediate Care Unit. Oncology is one of the most challenging and rewarding fields in nursing; no two days on the job are ever the same. We are hiring compassionate RNs to monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other treatments. Experienced RNs with back and neck surgery preferred.
