Materials Management Specialist III
Works with the Logistics staff to handle the supply and equipment aspect of the Urban Search and Rescue section. Assists with maintenance of all required tools and equipment and maintains required documentation. Repairs cache equipment when possible or assures repair is handled by a qualified vendor. Maintains required documentation. Assists logistics managers administratively with the maintenance and supply database. Maintains all assigned vehicles and warehouse equipment. Assists the logistics managers in the technical review of all incoming and outgoing equipment and supplies to assure accountability of all items. Performs other duties as assigned.Employment Standards
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to high school graduation or a GED issued by a state department of education, plus four years of inventory, purchasing, accounts payable or material storage operations experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Valid driver's license.
- Forklift Safety Training Certificate within six months of hire date.
- CDL-A required within one (1) year of employment.
- Forklift Instructor Certification within one (1) year of employment.
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a driving record check, and a Commercial Driver License screening to the satisfaction of the employer.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks including lifting, bending and stooping. Ability to lift moderate to heavy items (equipment, engines, tools) between 75 -100 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
