LATERAL ATTORNEY/PARTNER GROUP OPPORTUNITIES

Mid-size general practice firm in No. Va. seeks lateral attorneys and/or partners or groups for several practice areas:

Partners or groups:  Corporate, Real Estate and Business Law groups.  Candidates must have transactional corporate and/or real estate experience and a portable book of business. The ideal candidate must have deal expertise in M&A, general corporate, commercial finance, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, real estate debt, real estate lending and development transactions, as applicable.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established law firm to grow your practice with strong support and without layers of bureaucracy.  Virginia bar required. 

Junior Associates:  for the corporate/business law and real estate practices in the firm’s Fairfax office.  Qualified candidates will have 1 – 3 years of corporate transactional experience, real estate transactional or land use experience and/or general business law experience.  Applicants must have strong analytical abilities, excellent writing and communications skills and a desire to interface with clients and colleagues.

Lateral Associates:  experienced mid-to-senior level associate (that would be 3 – 5 years or more of experience) to help grow the firm’s family law/domestic relations practice and also the firm’s wills, trusts and estate planning/elder law practice. Candidates should have experience with complex divorce litigation, agreement drafting, and a broad range of family law issues.  The right person must enjoy working with clients, and be first-chair ready.  Training in collaborative divorce would be a plus, but is not required.  Experience, training or education and a willingness to work in the field of wills, trusts and estate planning/elder law is preferred.

Virginia Bar and familiarity with northern Virginia court procedures are essential. Applicants must have strong analytical abilities, sensitivity to client needs, a love of and skill at problem-solving, excellent writing and communications skills, and must work well with clients and colleagues.
