Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist
If you are a current Adventist HealthCare employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account. The Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist provides individual, group and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults using evidence based therapeutic modalities.
Complete initial psychosocial assessments
Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults
Provide group therapy
Complete timely documentation abiding by The Joint Commission quality standards
Provide case management and care coordination to patients on caseload as needed
Monday-Thursday 9:00-6:00, Fridays 9:00-3:00.
Education: Master's degree in social work, counseling or marriage and family therapy
Experience: 5-10 years' experience in behavioral health
Certification or licensure: clinical license in social work, counseling or marriage and family therapy
Other: Formal training in manualized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills preferred.
Strong knowledge of psychological disorders, abnormal psychology and evidence based therapeutic modalities and interventions
Experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family therapy, and supportive therapy
Strong skills in compiling clinical documentation in a timely manner
Experience working with a diverse range of patient populations
Experience working with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with an electronic medical record
