Legal Research Intern
LOCATION: NRA Headquarters; onsite, no telework
SUMMARY: Responsible for researching and cataloging scientific, scholarly, and legal materials concerning hunting and wildlife management to support the Hunter Leadership Forum. This is a temporary, grant-funded position and will end when funding is exhausted. The position may be segmented into two part-time positions with discrete areas of responsibility: one performing legal research, and one with research database creation, organization, and DB management.
� Conduct scientific, scholarly, and legal research on publicly available hunting and wildlife management materials
� Collect and organize the information in a user-friendly, searchable database
� Present and explain the findings to the Hunter Leadership Forum at scheduled meetings
Education and Experience:
Candidate(s) must possess excellent verbal and written communication, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Excellent research and organizational skills are also critical to this position. Educational requirements are flexible due to the nature of the position(s), but coursework in scientific, scholarly and legal research, and database organization and management are necessary. Being informed on historical and current developments in hunting and wildlife management is essential, as is support for the mission of the NRA.
