Oversee continuous improvements in operational execution, planning resource investments to support future content needs, and deep customer usage and financial analysis to target growth opportunities. Practice Effectiveness: o Oversee practice projects managed by others (track progress, help resolve problems, ensure leaders are in the loop, etc.) o Cultivate productive relationships with business partners across Gartner (R&A Strategy, R&A Operations, Sales, Product, Service, HR, Finance, etc.) o Serve as main point of contact and triage center for practice-specific questions and issues o Work on / completeCentralrequests that require input from leaders within the practice o Identify, share and implement proven best practices within the practice and across R&A o Improve bandwidth and effectiveness of Senior Leadership and (where needed) partner with the Senior Leadership's direct reports on their strategic and tactical issues (eg, KI mapping, product launches, staffing modeling, new hire requisitions, agenda management, etc.) Performance Management: o Analyze customer, financial and operational reports and dashboards to identify trends and improvement areas and validate findings for the practice o Support Senior Leadership in completing monthly performance write ups (collect inputs from stakeholders, share observations) o Partner with Research Business Analytics (RBA) team to identify, refine (and where appropriate, execute) practice-level reporting o Serve as conduit between RBA and practice associates for practice-specific reporting needs and questions; help leaders in the practice to make the best use of available dashboards, reports, etc. Budget Management: o Guide practice through R&A-wide budget and financial planning processes; drive budget-related adjustments through the business o Build data-driven business cases for growth investments o Partner with Finance to ensure efficient use of run rate, track T&E and adjust budget forecasts as needed o Partner with Recruiting to open requisitions and manage candidate pipelines Communications: o Draft / edit practice-wide memos for Senior Leadership o Build decks for practice-wide Town Hall meetings o Contextualize change-related messages, decisions and actions for practice associates Leadership Meeting Management o Drive monthly practice leadership meetingsbuild the agenda, manage guest speakers, ensure execution of action items Special Projects o Personally manage major projects for the practice (operational improvements, investments, efficiencies, etc.)Bachelor s degree. Master s degree preferred 8-10 years of progressive business experience Excellent organization skills, time management and task flexibility, and ability to multitask and change priorities as needed Demonstrated ability to own, manage and complete multiple projects & meet critical deadlines Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships up, down, and across the organization, via influence without formal management authority Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills Preferred Requirements Master s Degree preferred 8-10 years of Strategy or Business Operations role Experience working at both analytical and strategic levels simultaneously Excel and quantitative skillsgenerating pivot tables to extract key insights from large data sets; segmenting customers or behaviors into distinct groups which can be targeted for improvement. Ability to summarize complex data sets into elegantly simple summaries which focus attention on the most important causes of a challenge. Strength in typical delivery modes required: Excel (details), PPT (summary), and verbal presentation (team/partner review)
