Family Engagement Specialist

Under the supervision and direction of the Early Head Start Family Services Manager, the Family Engagement Specialist coordinates program and center level family events in partnership with Center Directors and Family Support Workers. In addition, the FES organizes Poliy council events and monthly meetings as well as annual parent trainings. The FES must be aware of, understand and be able to articulate :Current community service resources, Head Start performance standards
Other regulations/protocols for the provision of quality services. The FES must adhere to the AHC, LC, and EHS mission and RISES values at all times.
Support and assist center based and home based events and program wide events including 2 annual program wide family events and monthly parent committee meetings working with the Family Services Manager, Center Directors, and FSWs. 25%
Coordinate, Plan, and implement in partnership with the FSM and FSWs family education events/training and implementation of the parenting curriculum Circle of Security for center based and home based families. 25%
Support and assist the Family Services Manager with Policy Council monthly meetings, translation of materials, notifications to members, dissemination of information, taking minutes of the meeting in partnership with the secretary and organizing transportation. 25%
Coordinate and Support recruitment efforts for enrollment purposes and family engagement in partnership with the ERSEA team and provide resources for family events as indicated through utilization of parent education and interest surveys and provide resources and referrals to families as requested for events 10%
Support the Family Services Manager with revisions and updates to the Family Handbook and program policies and procedures 10%
