Regional Director Lean Continuous Improvement
JOB SUMMARY:This position utilizes an extensive knowledge of operational/business processes to execute strategic initiatives identified by leadership and/or Lean and Six Sigma methodologies within Field business area such as Inventory Management, Operations, Supplier Processes and Customer Processes. Acts as the business owner for assigned operational processes and is responsible for the achievement of regional business goals. This position works closely with the Director Lean and Process Improvement.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Expert in Six Sigma/Lean Distribution/Continuous Process Improvement, with expert ability to perform data collection and root cause analysis to rapidly identify impactful opportunities in DC's.2. Ability to lead cross-functional team, share strategic foresight and facilitate sustainable, continuous process improvement strategies that delivers customer satisfaction and shareholder value.3. Responsible for achieving annual regional Process Improvement targets. 4. Effectively prioritizes improvement opportunities across region, working with RVP, to achieve PI targets.5. Partners with GM's and Home Office to execute local improvement projects for productivity and accuracy.6. Executes on assigned projects utilizing appropriate process improvement methodology(s), Lean Six Sigma tools.7. Ensures projects are completed on time and on budget and are aligned with organizational strategic goals clarifying project components as needed. 8. As a Change Leader, works with process owners and stakeholders to implement process changes. Acts as mediator or conflict negotiator on project teams as necessary.9. Champions the Six Sigma Lean approaches with teammates, vendors, carriers and suppliers; makes presentations to build support for the program. 10. Administers/monitors approved accounting practices to ensure financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations. Ensures all practices and procedures comply with audit requirements and meet operational standards. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs additional duties as directed.QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics required, Master's degree preferred.2. At least seven years (up to and including) ten years 3. Certified Lean, Six Sigma or TPS training required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:A. Strong leadership ability (experienced as a team leader accountable for team progress and results)B. Strong analytical and statistical skills; demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skillsC. Ability to complete required coursework in Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies.D.
