Since 1999, Chevy Chase Trust has provided wealth management to individuals, families and foundations using thematic investing in individual securities. Chevy Chase Trust is looking for a Portfolio Manager and Fixed Income Trader. This position will help Chevy Chase Trust expand fixed income holdings in a thoughtful way that complements Chevy Chase Trust's thematic investment style and help drive fixed income thought leadership. Chevy Chase Trust fixed income holdings total nearly $3 billion with a focus on investment grade municipal and corporate debt. Experience in municipal debt markets is required; experience in both municipal and corporate debt markets is preferred.Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Fixed Income Trading: * Execute fixed income purchase and sales and ensure proper trade allocations and settlement. * Closely monitor select fixed income primary and secondary markets for investment opportunities. * Participate and provide analysis to investment department team in regularly scheduled meetings and via email communications. * Monitor and manage clients' fixed income allocations. Execute purchase and sale trades as necessary. * Maintain broker/dealer relationships. * Assist and/or execute administrative reports including but not limited to Investment Policy Committee reports, initial asset reviews and investment process reporting. Portfolio Management: * Maintain the integrity of clients' investment allocations. Portfolio reviews emphasize analysis of credit quality, duration, credit spreads, volatility and relative sector value. * Research and review fixed income holdings. * Effectively use various research tools to stay abreast of financial trends and current affairs. * Utilize the CCT Client Relationship Management System to document communication with and regarding clients. * Prepare reports and analyses for prospective client & client meetings using portfolio management reporting and accounting systems. * Participate in CCT sponsored client and marketing events to improve the awareness of the firm and seek additional new business.* Demonstrated in-depth understanding of financial markets and investment vehicles * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the team while working independently and with autonomy * Excellent analytical skills * Strong organizational skills * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently * Advanced experience with Bloomberg, Factset and other computer/internet-based investment tools * Experience with various electronic trading platforms EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 3 years of fixed income trading and portfolio management experience required EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: * A Bachelor's Degree required * CFA or MBA preferred
