Associate Director of Marketing
The Marketing, Creative and Events department (MCE) is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing to manage key pieces of AIPAC's marketing and online portfolios. This individual is a creative and collaborative marketing leader with the ability to innovate the way AIPAC communicates with, and services its constituencies. In cooperation with other institutional stakeholders, the AD of Marketing will play an important role in helping to shape how the organization is perceived on a national and global stage. He or she will liaise with other departments on their marketing and digital efforts, and help improve synergies, consistencies and efficiencies across all areas of the organization. The AD of Marketing will oversee strategy and implementation of marketing campaigns and digital initiatives in several major areas. This includes, but is not limited to: AIPAC Online Community AIPAC Policy Conference Virtual Conference Experience Brand Management External Web Presence Intranet / Staff Web Pages AIPAC Policy Conference Recruitment Special Event Recruitment Marketing Publications Internal AIPAC Marketing The Associate Director of Marketing also functions as a member of MCE's senior management team and helps to guide the strategic vision and high-level planning for the department. Some travel may be required, particularly to regional offices and occasional out-of-town events. Duties & Responsibilities: Conceptualize and create a year-round, fully immersive online community for AIPAC's club membership from the ground up. This will include working with AIPAC's IT department to determine the appropriate platform; as well as working with key organizational stakeholders to determine and facilitate content based on the priorities of AIPAC's various initiatives. Build upon AIPAC's current virtual conference experience and take this initiative from its infancy phase to a fully robust, sophisticated, and interactive online experience. Lead AIPAC's institutional branding efforts, will manage AIPAC's brand guidelines, and will educate key stakeholders on brand-use best practices. The AD of Marketing will analyze industry trends and utilize the latest qualitative and quantitative market research to ensure AIPAC's brand is conveying the desired message to its various constituencies. Responsible for AIPAC's web presence, ensuring departments and regions are participating and are well represented on the site. The AD of Marketing will work with the drivers of AIPAC's important initiatives to ensure their web-related strategies are consistent and effective. Guide and manage Policy Conference recruitment, using targeted qualitative and quantitative marketing strategies to help ensure that we are recruiting the types of delegates we desire. Spearhead recruitment efforts for other special events, both national and regional, as well as international missions. Lead internal marketing efforts to ensure an organization-wide understanding and appreciation for AIPAC's work and successes in its various areas of focus.Bachelor's degree required. 10 years of relevant work experience preferred. Previous experience with virtual conference and community platforms and content, brand management, marketing strategy, marketing effectiveness and event management. Significant personnel management experience. Understanding of HTML and CSS preferred. Experience with, or an understanding of the following: web technologies including Adobe Creative Suite, JIRA and GitHub; Google Analytics, Google Campaign URLs and Google Tag Manager; responsive email technology in Salesforce Marketing Cloud; and Web Content Management systems (Sitecore, Mura, WordPress). Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong analysis, strategic thinking, creative thinking, team leadership, planning, organizing, problem solving skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management. Ability to analyze data and convert observations into actions. Self-motivated with ability to work in ambiguity and still drive forward. Experience successfully partnering with creative teams. Ability to effectively partner and influence while driving results. Exhibit a general understanding of and interest in event planning, specifically in the non-profit arena. The ability to develop and implement systems to manage an enormous workload is essential. Ability to function and maintain a cool demeanor in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. Fully competent in the Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn event, financial management and computer applications, as necessary Passion for Israel, a strong US-Israel relationship and the issues affecting the US-Israel relationship a plus.
