Position Overview
Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Business innovation lab (iLab) is an exciting and relatively new team (entering its second year) within the SF Business. The iLab consists of a three-part team: a) New Concept Incubation; b) Emerging Technology platform (sandbox) and c) Emerging Capability scouting. The iLab provides a framework to enable the Single-Family Business to incubate ideas in a safe environment using a lean start up mindset (i.e., minimum viable product deployed with ability to pivot, persevere or kill the concept based on pilot results). The team is also on the forefront of scouting out new emerging technology and capabilities (e.g., distributed ledger technology usage) to address business needs and opportunities. We are seeking an individual experienced in working in a highly-matrixed organization to support the iLab with overall business management support, capacity planning, management of partnership and alliance coalition, key involvement with IdeaHub innovation intake process and reporting and involved in leading the change management effort of fostering an innovation mindset culture at Freddie Mac

Your work falls into three primary categories:

Project Management, Capacity Planning and Productivity
* Provide insights into workload and demands of overall iLab; assess overall capacity and productivity of the iLab based on knowledge of workload inputs and deliverables.
* Provides regular reporting on iLab core efforts underway in terms of desired outcomes and target milestones along with potential barriers and obstacles

Intake Process
* Assist with the IdeaHub intake process (‘always on ideation’ and challenge sessions)

Partnership & Alliances:
* Continue to build iLab’s partnership & alliance coalition fostering an environment of sharing ideas and practices and identifying opportunities where to co-create, where possible

Innovation Management Mindset
* Supports the iLab in building an innovation mindset through training and application of skills such as Design Thinking, Lean Start Up and Design Sprints.

Basic Requirements
* Typically has 5-7 years related experience
* College degree or equivalent
* Strong analytical capabilities
* Advanced level of experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint
