Accounts Payable Clerk
Accounts Payable Clerk Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will track and record purchase orders, process account payables, maintain data in spreadsheets, and may be responsible for some cash management duties. Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. . Track and record purchase orders from issuance of PO number to receipt of product through payment . Processes payables through Epicor, tracking payables through the approval process . Copies and sends payables to Corporate ensuring invoices and purchase orders meet Corporate requirements . Primary contact for vendors for status of payments and purchase orders . Responsible for various reports as assigned. . Maintain Excel spreadsheets related to payables, accruals, and equipment. . Cash management may include: balancing cash drawers daily, and administering petty cash. . Education and/or Experience High School diploma of General Education Degree (GED); and one year of related accounting experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees in the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Required Skills and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
