In this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. You will be responsible for processing full-cycle AP, handling a high volume of invoices per week, with high attention to detail. This is a long term temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Washington, District of Columbia area. Major responsibilities - Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers - Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders - Verify codes and documents - Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers - Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans - Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP - Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks - Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable - Comprehensive knowledge of accounts receivable - Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting - Microsoft Excel experience preferred - Foundational knowledge in navigating basic office equipment and protocols - Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field - Current and relevant ERP system experience Interested candidates please send resumes to [Click Here to Email Your Resume]Accountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
