TechWerks specializes in healthcare information technology, training, analytics, and clinical research. We are searching for a Project Manager to oversee a contract with Compensation Service, a major program office within the Veterans Benefits Administration of the US Department of Veterans Affairs. This person will work on high-profile projects that oversee the delivery of benefits to Veterans and their families in recognition of the effects of disabilities incurred or aggravated from diseases, injuries, or events during active military service, and will provide administrative support for the contract. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to: . Formulate and define project scopes and objectives in accordance with the client's technical requirements, and ensure that the contract's activities remain within scope and are completed on time and within budget. . Assist client in accomplishing project goals and in managing schedules and task performance. . Perform risk assessments and create risk mitigation strategies. . Gather and manage project inputs from a variety of business lines within the agency. . Solve complex problems, provide recommendations to improve government processes, and advise VA management and customers on complex system projects and activities. . Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (including charters, meeting support, memos, reports, and reporting tools) and contract documentation (including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and performance updates). . Manage client relations and provide leadership for the contract team (includes program analysts, data analysts, and SharePoint programmers). Telework opportunities may be available as part of this position. Basic Qualifications . BA or BS degree in a relevant field . Minimum 4 years of relevant employment experience . Ability to work independently and efficiently . Professional and flexible approach in interacting with clients . Advanced time management and analytical skills Desired Qualifications . Certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe, LSS . Experience working with federal government agencies or managing government contracts . Proficiency in using the PMBOK Guide . Experience with Microsoft SharePoint . Experience with Tableau
