Senior Vice President and HUD Group Head
Production Management:Directly manage all FHA loan originators to achieve annual budget, including: volume, mortgage banking gains and operating margin.Develop and utilize reports from Salesforce to manage production and provide focused follow-ups bi-weekly with originators.Monitor and proactively follow-up on refinance opportunities from our servicing portfolio with a target success rate of 50% (include senior management in a target of 20 face to face meetings with clients and promote the CompanyA$ cents A' €A' (TM) s borrower NPS survey).Grow HUD production to be a consistent top 3 HUD Lender with over $2 billion in HUD loans annually.Develop and communicate metrics utilized to track progress.Identify and attract key production to add at least $500 million in additional production annually (based off of the recruitsA$ cents A' €A' (TM) previous year origination volume).Develop junior producer program to advance careers of internal staff in production capacity.Department Management:Participate as a member of the Company's Executive and Operations Committees, representing both the FHA Finance department and Company as a whole.Partner with Company Production Heads to promote the cross-selling process, building a team approach beyond FHA.Continue to refine and educate department on W&DA$ cents A' €A' (TM) s go-to-market strategy.As we enter new verticals, work with President and the other Production Heads to determine how clients are shared, how commissions are split, and how the new platforms are scaled and integrated.Oversee FHA Underwriting function, including serve as direct supervisor of Director of FHA Underwriting. Drive Director of FHA Underwriting and Chief Underwriters to maximize underwriting quality and capacity.Work with the credit team to develop best practices, enhance our underwriting templates, and leverage off of technology to drive our underwriting quality, efficiency, and customer service to internal and external clients.Ensure department policy and procedures are updated real time.Visit W&D Regional offices with FHA teams once per quarter.Partner with HR to proactively manage staffing, talent development and retention, while promoting the CompanyA$ cents A' €A' (TM) s valued culture.A' IT/Data/Business Automation:Partner with IT to enhance the business systems used to manage the FHA Finance Department, including enhancements to Salesforce and the VDR's functionality and report management.Monitor reports and team usage to ensure proactive updates and data integrity.Drive importance through performance management in mid-year and annual review process.A' Department P&L Management:Manage HUD profitability.Work with Accounting to identify key reports for monthly review to proactively manage the income and expenses of the FHA division.Proactively manage budgeted costs.A' HUD Relationship and Program Management:Attend key HUD Conferences and network with HQ staff as well as HUD Directors to maintain open communication on program initiatives and key deal negotiations.Work with MBA to collaborate on programmatic challenges and initiatives. A " ?BachelorA$ cents A' €A' (TM) s degree in Finance or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.10+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with deep expertise in FHA/HUD.HUD MAP and/or LEAN certification preferred.Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac multifamily production or underwriting experience preferred.Energetic, flexible team leader and player with the ability to adapt in a changing environment.Takes initiative: identifies new ways to approach existing processes, maintains an ownership approach to problem-solving, commits to ensuring best practices are in place, and regularly goes above and beyond role.Demonstrates strong people management, mentoring, development and delegation skills.Experience using Salesforce, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.Knowledge and experience in production and underwriting in the multifamily and healthcare industries. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of the key players in the industry, the issues and trends facing the industry, the ability to identify the key credit, and sponsor related risks when structuring a transaction, and the ability to make decisions based on imperfect data.Communicates effectively with all levels of management through various mediums.Demonstrates commitment to innovation, change and willingness to take initiative to accomplish change.Detail-oriented, with strong time management and organizational skills.A " ?
