Working with a leader in providing specialty equipment and stainless-steel fabrication services. They are well established and due to growing pains, they need more TIG Welders.Position Objective:Plans and performs a wide variety of welding, layout, cutting, brazing and soldering operations on a variety of parts, components and assemblies.Primary Responsibilities:Provide optimum cooperation and complete information to the Supervisor and others, relative to projects within the assigned group, to ensure on-time and accurate job completionRecommend new methods and procedures to improve efficiency as apparent or requiredWork from drawings, sketches, welding symbols, specifications and instructions to plan work in proper operational sequence and determine methods and techniques to be appliesIdentify job flow problems and causes, and recommend corrective action to ensure timely and efficient production effortWelds all types of materials in structural and sheet metal sizes and shapes, utilizing a full range of welding and cutting processes including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), plasma and oxy-acetylene cutting and brazingSet current gas pressures and regulate pressure controlsSelect rod, wire, tips, and electrodes for specific operation to be performedFit and position parts in accordance with drawing specifications using locating fixtures and measuring devicesTack welds as necessary and perform all positions of welding, sometimes in confined spacesUses care to lay a smooth bead, obtain proper penetration and fusion, avoid burning or distortion of metal, detect defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to the SupervisorWelds and finishes to customer specifications, applying various finishes as needed, on all size weldmentsQualifications:High school education3+ years of welding experienceSuccessful completion of AWS certification testAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to demonstrate strong math and trigonometry applicationsPlease contact Scott DeWitte directly at [Click Here to Email Your Resume] for more information on this or any other positions you may be interested.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States for the past 27 years.
