The Job Details are as follows:Position OverviewThis position will provide analysis, financial statement support, and internal / external reporting related to the Company's revenue. This is a highly visible and important area, requiring the use of significant judgements and estimate.Key Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesPartner with strategic operations and external consultants to prepare, analyze and report revenues, gross to net (GTN) calculations/results, and budget to actualsPerform analysis of internal and external data sets to assist in strategic decision making by internal stakeholdersMake recommendations to improve operations and procedures as it relates to revenue. This includes challenging current revenue (order to cash) processes, identifying process efficiencies and supporting implementation of process improvements / automationMonitor and evaluate market trends and industry competitors that may have an impact on the company/business. This includes evaluating the impact of possible generic entrants on our productsReview new revenue agreements to understand the operational and accounting impacts to support ongoing compliance with new revenue recognition rulesSupport other members of the Finance team with special projects, as needed (eg, review of strategic partnership agreements, data analysis, process improvements and decision support)Prepare revenue related MD&A and footnote disclosures to assist in the preparation of 10-Q and 10-K filingsMaintain existing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 documentation for GTN related areasTrain with employee responsible for gross revenue accounting to serve as a backupMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree4-7 years of relevant finance/accounting work experience in industry, consulting or public accountingStrong quantitative/analytical skills required. Experience in performing and reporting results of quantitative analysis Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to travel up to 10%Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMaster's degree in accounting / finance / businessCPA licenseExperience working in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in revenue reportingStrong analytical, organizational and communication skillsAdvanced Excel skills in order to work with and analyze large volumes of dataProcess oriented, always looking to challenge and improve upon / streamline existing processesFamiliarity with the new revenue recognition accounting standardAbility to interact and develop working relationships with individuals from various disciplinesStrong desire to understand the work being performed and to continually develop expertise in the revenue and gross to net areasStrong attention to detail as well as the "big picture"Ability to work hard under pressure and to meet deadlinesFlexible and adaptable to changeUnited Therapeutics Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - EOE Minorities / Females / Protected Veterans / Individuals with Disabilities
