Interior Designer/Architect, PM, Washington DC With more than 60,000 employees, our client is one of the world's largest law enforcement organizations and is charged with keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the US while facilitating lawful international travel and trade. As the world's first full-service border entity, they take a comprehensive approach to border management and control, combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity. We are seeking a qualified Interior Designer or Architect to serve as a Project Manager overseeing office space build-outs, reconfigurations, and management, for our federal government client in the Washington DC area. This position provides support in management, control, coordination, and execution of projects involving complex and long-term leasing, space acquisition, and/or construction management. Will be well versed in the below skill sets, effective communicators and able to work independently and meet aggressive Federal Customer deadlines. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of related experience, Experience or familiarity with furniture procurement development, Experience coordinating the following facility planning requirements: IT Security Furniture procurement and configuration Construction Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Familiarity with MS Project or schedule management software, Strong communication skills to communicate with Federal Employees of all levels Able to work in a dynamic environment, Some travel may be required, (up to 25%) Applicants selected will be subject to a US Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Additional Preferred Qualifications: PMP Certification preferred Related Bachelor's degree preferred Knowledge/experience with various planning concepts to include office hoteling, desk sharing, and team sharing areas Experience working as a contractor for federal agencies, specifically Department of Homeland Security - Customs and Border Protection Salary commensurate with experience; full benefits package.
